Spiders

SPIDER CONTROL PROCEDURE:

We provide a free estimate/quote for spider control over the phone. We will visually inspect the area of suspected activity to assess the situation.

When treating the area outside the structure, we first sweep and then treat. Inside, we will only apply the treatment. The time and cost of the treatment varies. Our starting price for treatment is $125.

We use state-approved deterrents. The chemicals we use to treat spiders can possibly be harmful if they come into contact with skin, are ingested, or are inhaled.

SPIDER PREVENTION:

The best way to prevent future issues with spiders is to schedule regular visits from a pest control professional. Appointments can be scheduled at 2, 3, or 4-month intervals. Develop a plan with an MDE Pest Services professional to prevent and manage future spider problems.

IDENTIFICATION:

Spiders can range in size, shape, and color. Common spiders found in South Carolina are various species of wolf spiders, black widows, brown widows, and the brown recluse. Some are poisonous, some are not.

If you are unable to determine what type of spider you are dealing with and are concerned it could be dangerous, please contact us to schedule an inspection.

DAMAGE TO HEALTH OR PROPERTY:

Poisonous spiders can bite you and you may not develop symptoms until much later. Symptoms may include fever, nausea, vomiting, headache, abdominal pain, muscle cramping, joint pain, rash, swelling, redness, infection, etc. In a rare case, a brown recluse bite could cause death.
